Stand-up comedian Nigel Williams, originally from Bristol (UK), but recently also a Belgian, is considered one of the pioneers of the new wave of Belgian stand-up comedy from the late 1990s. In 2000, he won Humo’s Comedy Cup, and since then, he has been entertaining audiences both in Belgium and abroad with his up-tempo, energetic stand-up comedy.
He brings socially relevant stand-up comedy in the purest Anglo-Saxon tradition, rooted in current affairs, with razor-sharp observations and lots of improvisation, freewheeling, and audience interaction. Nigel is a born stage animal who delivers comedy in a hilarious way, always with a wink, and unfiltered. A hit for anyone who enjoys their comedy a bit rougher.
Nigel has 10 one-man shows under his belt and has appeared on numerous radio and TV programs. In recent years, he has been touring across Europe with stand-up shows in his native language, English. He is the founder of the now legendary Stand-Up Antwerp Comedy Club (Antwerp), where he hosts English-speaking comedians from all over the world every month.
